What to expect when you apply

The process may vary slightly depending on the role, but we want to provide some insight into what to expect once you submit your resume. Team Alpha Vantage reviews every submission that comes in for an open role. We will do our best to get back to all candidates whether or not we move forward, but due to the volume of submissions we receive, this is not always possible.

If we think you may be a fit, we will set up a phone screen. We want to get to know you better, find out why you want to work at Alpha Vantage and what you are really excited about working on. We tell you more about the role you are applying for and answer any questions you have.

The next step is either a technical screen or a take home assignment, depending on the role. This is a great way to test the skills you can bring to the role in a different way than we can test for in an interview. Do not be surprised if you really like this step; in fact, that is typically a positive signal.

Once you complete your technical screen or we receive your assignment, the hiring team reviews your work and decides how to move forward based on criteria we have established for each of our roles.

The final step is an in-person interview. During this interview we will ask a range of questions about your technical skills, your values and how you work with teams and managers. You meet people that you would work with and have the chance to ask them questions as well.

We make decisions quickly and let you know how we decide to move forward as soon as we can. We respect your time and appreciate your investment in our process.
